On 12 November 2024, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev and Esmeralda Mendonça, Secretary of State of the Ministry of External Relations of the Republic of Angola.
At the meeting, opportunities for expanding cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic and humanitarian fields were discussed.
It was emphasized that the establishment of a mechanism for political consultations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Angola will serve the coordination and development of cooperation on bilateral and multilateral platforms.
At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a political consultations mechanism between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of External Relations of the Republic of Angola was signed.
