No:354/25, Press release on the visit of Deputy Minister Fariz Rzayev to Slovenia

On 1–2 September 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fariz Rzayev visited Slovenia in order to participate in the 20th Bled Strategic Forum.
Within the framework of the Forum, the Deputy Minister delivered remarks at panel discussions dedicated to the current international situation prevailing in the world.
In his speech, he spoke about the historic agreements reached during the Washington Summit held on 8 August of the current year, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and the peace agenda, and the importance of stability in the region was emphasized.
In the speech, attention was also drawn to Azerbaijan’s contribution to the energy security of European countries, and information was presented on the important role played by Azerbaijan in the creation and functioning of international transport routes such as the “Middle Corridor,” by highlighting large-scale energy and transport projects implemented with the participation of our country.
During the panel discussions, Azerbaijan’s successful hosting and chairmanship of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the achievements reached on many issues that had long awaited resolution within the framework of COP29, and the adopted decisions were also discussed.
Within the framework of the visit, a number of bilateral working meetings were also held.
