No:348/19, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, the Senior Minister of State of the Ministry of Defence and MFA of Singapore on the sidelines of the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Baku
At the meeting, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction over the political and economic cooperation between the two countries developing on a mutually beneficial ground. Touching upon the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Singapore, the sides pointed out the important role of cooperation within international organizations and forums in order to make the existing mutually beneficial cooperation more effective.
Noting the positive development of bilateral trade and economic relations between Singapore and Azerbaijan, the Secretary of State expressed satisfaction with the close cooperation between Singapore and Azerbaijani companies and stressed the importance of benefiting from the perspectives existing between the countries, in particular, sharing experiences in ICT and other fields.
Elmar Mammadyarov noted with satisfaction that Singapore is one of the key partners of Azerbaijan and stressed the importance of further improving the treaty and legal basis in favor of further bilateral cooperation.
Singapore’s Official expressed his assurance for the successful Presidency of Azerbaijan in NAM and further development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
