On July 20-23, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov visited the Republic of Korea.

Within the framework of the visit, on July 21, 2022, further political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries with the participation of delegations led from the Azerbaijani side by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov and from the Korean side - by Deputy Foreign Minister Yoh Sing-ben. During the consultations, satisfaction was expressed with the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Korea in the current year, when the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations is celebrated. An exchange of views took place on opportunities for further development of Azerbaijan-Korea relations, cooperation in the economic field, including increasing mutual trade and investments, especially the possible participation of Korean companies in the demining of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan and the extensive reconstruction and restoration works carried out in those territories. In addition, the possibilities of future development of Azerbaijan-Korea cooperation in the fields of tourism, culture, health and education were discussed. An exchange of information on cooperation within the framework of international organizations and regional issues of mutual interest also took place.

On July 21, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs E. Mammadov met with leaders and correspondents of local media organizations of Korea, "The Korea Times", "Korea JoongAng Daily" and "Aju Ilbo" newspapers, and answered the questions of the opposite side.

On July 22, 2022, a courtesy meeting was held between Deputy Minister E. Mammadov and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kim Young-joo. During the meeting, the role played by the parliaments of the two countries in the development of Azerbaijan-Korea relations over the past 30 years was highly appreciated, and in this regard, gratitude was expressed to the opposite side for the open and comprehensive cooperation always demonstrated by the Korean Parliament. It was stated that inter-parliamentary cooperation is successfully continued not only in bilateral format, but also in multilateral arena such as the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).

On July 22, 2022, Deputy Foreign Minister E. Mammadov met with the head of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations Suh Byeong-su in the Parliament of the Republic of Korea.

On July 22, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs E. Mammadov also met with the Chairman of Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) Kim Byung-kwan and exchanged views on the possibilities of importing Azerbaijani goods to the Korean market.

On the same date, Deputy Minister E. Mammadov met with Son Hyuk-sang, president of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). During the meeting, the assistance provided by KOICA since 1994 to people displaced from their homes as a result of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, and the projects implemented in Azerbaijan in the following periods were highly appreciated, and confidence was expressed that cooperation with KOICA will continue at a high pace in the future.
