On 19 August 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Arzu Rana Deuba.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal conveyed her congratulations on the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and the United States during the Summit held between the leaders during the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States, as well as on the achievements in the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process.
The ministers noted that high-level and top-level political contacts between the two countries in recent years are commendable. The visit of the President of Nepal to Azerbaijan within the framework of COP29 was recalled with satisfaction.
It was emphasized that diplomatic relations, the 30th anniversary of which we celebrate this year, are developing intensively, and the importance of the government mission carried out to Nepal, as well as the political consultations organized between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, was highlighted.
During the phone call, the sides reviewed the development of bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as the current state and prospects of cooperation in economic-trade, tourism, humanitarian, and other fields. Cooperation between the two countries within international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement, was positively assessed, and the importance of strengthening mutual support activities within multilateral formats was emphasized.
During the phone call, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
