On 22 July 2025, within the framework of his official visit to Georgia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze.

 

During the meeting, the sides emphasized the strategic nature of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia and exchanged views on the contribution of these ties to peace, stability, and development in the region.

 

The discussions focused particularly on large-scale projects in the fields of energy, transport, and communications. The sides noted that these projects serve as a model for regional cooperation and play a significant role in deepening economic integration between the two countries.

 

In particular, the potential for cooperation in the field of “green energy” and relevant steps to support existing initiatives in this direction were discussed.

 

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also touched upon the regional security agenda, providing information on recent developments in the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process and the steps taken by Azerbaijan in this regard.

 

The sides also exchanged views on strengthening economic and trade relations, increasing the efficiency of transport corridors, and creating new cooperation platforms.

 

During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also reviewed.
