No:294/25, Press release on the meeting between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov

On 3 July 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, within the framework of the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization held in the city of Khankendi.
During the meeting, the role and importance of high-level mutual visits and contacts between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in further developing bilateral relations were discussed.
Regional security issues, cooperation within international organizations, as well as cooperation on the Caspian Sea were addressed.
Views were exchanged on opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy, transport, humanitarian affairs, and culture.
It was noted with satisfaction that the traditionally strong ties of friendship and brotherhood between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan will continue to develop further on the basis of partnership relations between the two countries.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
