On 21 June 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, within the framework of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in the city of Istanbul.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jordan, the regional situation in the Middle East, and the Israel-Iran confrontation were discussed.
The importance of further intensifying efforts to develop the existing relations of friendship and partnership between Azerbaijan and Jordan, as well as to expand cooperation both bilaterally and within international organizations, was emphasized. Preparations for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan were reviewed.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
