On 14 June 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan.
During the telephone conversation, the situation in the region arising from the operation launched by Israel against the territory of Iran, issues stemming from bilateral relations, including preparations for the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) planned to be held in Istanbul on 21–22 June, were discussed.
