No:242/22, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev to the Kingdom of Sweden
On May 18-19, 2022, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fariz Rzayev paid a working visit to the Kingdom of Sweden.
During the visit, meetings were held with Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde, Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Andreas Norlén and Deputy Foreign Minister Magnus Nilsson.
During the meetings, the sides stressed the importance of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Sweden with a series of events in both capitals, discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations and exchanged views on post-conflict processes in the South Caucasus.
The main topic of discussion at the roundtable with leaders and researchers from the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) was devoted to the post-conflict normalization processes in the South Caucasus and the role of international partners.
During the visit, a concert of Isfar Sarabski Jazz Trio and diplomatic reception were held at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Sweden, with the participation of Deputy Foreign Ministers Fariz Rzayev and Magnus Nilsson.
