No:217/22, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the exchange of letters between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Ann Linde
On May 8, 2022, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Sweden, an exchange of letters between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Ann Linde took place.
In his letter, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the cultural event, which will be held on May 19 of this year at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, has a symbolic meaning in terms of the Nobel heritage in Baku, which plays the role of a bridge between our countries. The Minister noted that over the years, economic and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden has been developing steadily. It was stated that we believe in a successful Swedish Presidency in the Council of the EU next year and, in particular, we are ready to contribute to the activities that Sweden, as one of the co-founders, will carry out within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.
In her letter, Minister Ann Linde noted the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and took the opportunity to appreciate the existing friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden. Ann Linde wished to continue the good relations and cooperation between the two countries.
The Ministers extended their sincere congratulations and wished further development of friendship and cooperation between our countries.
