On 6 May 2024, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malta and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ian Borg.
During the telephone conversation, issues on the OSCE agenda, as well as the regional situation, were discussed.
The main directions of the Azerbaijan–OSCE bilateral cooperation agenda, as well as our country’s position on the challenges currently faced by the OSCE, were brought to attention.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also provided the other side with detailed information on the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process, and our country’s approach to the issues.
At the same time, possible cooperation opportunities with the OSCE and the Chairmanship within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), hosted by our country, were reviewed.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
