No:182/25, Press release on the meeting between Deputy Minister Yalchin Rafiyev and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On 6 May 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Head of the Center for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Saeed Khatibzadeh, who is on a visit to our country.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on issues arising from the Azerbaijan–Iran bilateral cooperation agenda following the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian to our country on 28 April 2025, as well as on mutual cooperation within regional and international organizations.
The sides also noted that establishing contacts and cooperation between research and think tank institutions of Iran and Azerbaijan would give an additional impetus to bilateral cooperation and contribute to increasing awareness among the publics of both countries on various issues.
The Deputy Ministers also discussed other regional and global issues.
