On 18 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities of Guinea-Bissau Joao Bernardo Vieira within the framework of his participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, the prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Guinea-Bissau, as well as opportunities for cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, tourism, energy and other fields were discussed.
The importance of continuing joint activities in advancing our common interests within multilateral platforms, especially the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, was noted.
During the meeting, the importance of expanding economic and trade relations, exchanging experience in the field of natural resource development, sharing knowledge and experience in the provision of public services, as well as more active use of scholarship programs and other opportunities in the fields of education and vocational training was noted.
It was noted that Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to further developing relations with countries of the African continent, including Guinea-Bissau.
At the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
