No:154/22, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the event and exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China
On April 1, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted an event and exhibition on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, a member of the working group on Azerbaijani-Chinese inter-parliamentary relations of the Milli Majlis, the leadership and staff of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Azerbaijan, the leadership and representatives of the Confucius Institute at Baku State University and Azerbaijan University of Languages, as well as representatives of companies operating in Azerbaijan.
The event began with the national anthems of both countries.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, our relations have developed in accordance with the interests of our peoples based on mutual respect, trust and friendship. The Deputy Minister noted that the two countries have fruitful cooperation not only in the context of bilateral relations, but also on multilateral platforms. Emphasizing the growing economic ties between Azerbaijan and China, Elnur Mammadov said that the participation of Chinese companies in investment projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan will be a key criterion for further development of economic cooperation.
Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ms. Guo Ming said that despite the changes in the international situation over the past 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, our countries have always supported each other and respected each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Ambassador emphasized with satisfaction the existence of cooperation between China and Azerbaijan in many fields, including economy, trade, transport, energy, communications, education, culture and art, noting that the two countries also cooperate effectively within the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Ms. Guo Ming also stressed that the mutual assistance and support of the two countries during the global COVID-19 pandemic is a clear example of friendship between our countries.
At the end of the event, the participants got acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and China.
