No:136/25, Press release on the meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan

On 7 April 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met in Abu Dhabi with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, political, economic, trade, energy and humanitarian aspects of Azerbaijan-UAE cooperation, partnership within the framework of regional and international organizations, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed. The work carried out between the two countries in the field of energy, especially in alternative energy, was noted with satisfaction.
The importance of political dialogue, including the mechanism of political consultations, in the development of cooperation between the two countries was noted.
The importance of continuing mutual support and solidarity within the framework of regional and international organizations was emphasized.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side in detail about the regional reconstruction and peace agenda in the post-conflict period, the existing challenges, including the mine threat, as well as the ongoing territorial claims against our country enshrined in the Constitution of Armenia and a number of legislative acts.
The importance of the support of the United Arab Emirates in the field of demining, as well as the assistance provided in our territories liberated from occupation, was noted with satisfaction.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
