On 19 March 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
During the phone call, an exchange of views was held on the existing bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between the two countries, as well as on regional and international security issues.
The Ministers sincerely congratulated each other on the occasion of the upcoming Novruz and Ramadan holidays and conveyed their best wishes.
The current state and prospects of Azerbaijan–Bahrain cooperation in various fields, including economic, trade, energy security and cultural areas, as well as opportunities for cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation were discussed.
The active participation of Azerbaijan in Bahrain’s “Manama Dialogue” initiative, as well as the importance of this platform in terms of discussing security issues were particularly noted.
The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
