No:114/19, On the sidelines of his official visit to Poland, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov participated in the tree planting ceremony in honor of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Azerbaijan and Poland in the Józef Poliński Park, Warsaw.
Also a monument “In memory of the struggle for independent Azerbaijan and Poland” was erected by the Government of Azerbaijan in the park. The monument commemorates the Polish decent general Matsey Sulkevich, the head of the General Staff of the National Army of Azerbaijan (1918-1920) and Vali bey Yadigar, colonel of the Polish Republic Army and the National Army.
