On 8 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Nadezhda Neynski, made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
The Ministers discussed the security situation in the region in recent days, including the drone attacks carried out by Iran against the territory of Azerbaijan.
Minister Nadezhda Neynski condemned the attacks, expressed her concern over the situation, and emphasized the importance of maintaining regional stability. She also expressed her gratitude for the support provided in the transit of Bulgarian citizens remaining in Iran through the territory of our country.
During the phone call, the sides also discussed the current state and prospects for the development of existing bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria. An exchange of views was held on issues of energy security, regional connectivity, and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
