No:095/20, Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Leyla Abdullayeva answers a question of the media to comment on the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia N.Pashinyan made in the Parliament that his position on the settlement of the conflict has not changed at all since 2018

Answer: With this statement, the Prime Minister of Armenia acknowledges that it is Armenia that hinders the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and thus the maintenance of peace and security in the region. This statement clearly shows who is refusing to negotiate, who is refusing to comply with the requirements of the international community, and first of all, demands of the UN Security Council resolutions, and thus who is obstructing the settlement of the conflict.
The Armenian leadership must understand that these statements do not serve the settlement of the conflict through negotiations, and finally realize that Azerbaijan will restore its territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, in accordance with its Constitution and the norms and principles of international law. The responsibility for the rise of the tension within the settlement of the conflict lies with Armenia.
