On March 6, 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the telephone conversation, views on the drone attacks carried out against Azerbaijan and the current security situation were exchanged.
Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan strongly condemned the targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure, emphasizing that such actions are unacceptable.
The ministers expressed concern over the rising tensions in the Middle East and stressed the importance of preventing further escalation.
During the telephone conversation, the parties also discussed the prospects for the development of existing strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates.
