According to the information of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on February 29, 2020, from 16:00 on two-week interim period, the state borders between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran are closed under restrictive regime.
In this regard, discussions were held between the relevant governmental agencies of the two countries and upon coordinated arrangements necessary corridor would be provided for the departure of Iranian citizens from Azerbaijan and the arrival of the Azerbaijani citizens in Iran through appropriate regime.
Hotlines operate at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran and the Consulate General in Tabriz to ensure the return of our citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
