No:034/26, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the delegation headed by the President of the Arab Parliament

On 11 February 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received a delegation led by Muhammad Ahmed Al-Yammahi, President of the Arab Parliament.
During the meeting, discussions focused on Azerbaijan’s relations with Arab countries, as well as with the Arab League and the Arab Parliament in general, the regional security situation in the Middle East and the South Caucasus, the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that developing relations with Muslim countries, including Arab states, remains a priority in Azerbaijan’s foreign policy. The country’s continuous efforts to ensure stability, security, and peace in the region, as well as the importance of enhancing efforts to prevent conflicts and wars, were highlighted.
Solidarity was expressed regarding the importance of efforts to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip. In the context of the Palestinian issue, it was reiterated that Azerbaijan supports a solution based on the “two-state” principle, in accordance with the norms and principles of international law and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The significance of Azerbaijan’s mediation efforts carried out in recent years was also emphasized.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided detailed information on the previous conflict, the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, and the reconstruction and rehabilitation works being implemented in the territories liberated during the post-conflict period.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
