On 7 February 2026, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
During the call, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov condemned the terrorist attack that occurred at a mosque in Islamabad and expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Government and people of Pakistan. He emphasized that Azerbaijan stands alongside Pakistan in its ongoing efforts to combat terrorism.
The telephone conversation also covered various aspects of the partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, matters arising from agreements concluded between the two countries, and the regional security situation.
