No:021/26, Press release on the fourth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco

On 26 January 2026, in the city of Baku, the fourth round of political consultations was held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The political consultations were led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiev on the Azerbaijani side and by Omar Kadiri, Director General for Asia and Oceania Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, on the Moroccan side.
During the consultations, the current state of relations and future prospects for cooperation between the two countries in political, economic and trade, energy, transport, tourism, education, sports, and other fields were discussed.
Satisfaction was expressed regarding the cooperation between the two countries within multilateral platforms, and the necessity of continuing this experience was noted.
The other side was briefed on the latest developments in the region, the peace agenda, and the restoration and reconstruction work carried out in Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from occupation.
The parties also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
