No: 83/17, Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and the Netherlands had an exchange of congratulatory letters on the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries
Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands had an exchange of congratulatory letters on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In the letter addressed to his counterpart Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stressed the successful economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands and noted the effective activity of a number of Dutch companies in our country in this regard.
Minister stated that Azerbaijan is interested in further strengthening the political dialogue and the relations in education and humanitarian fields with the Netherlands. He also noted the importance of holding political consultations between the Foreign Ministries.
In his letter addressed to Elmar Mammadyarov Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Bert Koenders stressed that bilateral relations between our countries has successfully been developed during the past 25 years and mentioned the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev to the Netherlands on the occasion of the 2014 Nuclear Security Summit and the visits of former Minister of Foreign Affairs Frans Timmermans and incumbent Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp to Azerbaijan in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
Bert Koenders stated that the Netherlands and Azerbaijan actively cooperate in a wide range of areas through a number of international platforms, including the Council of Europe, OSCE, World Bank and EBRD.
Minister also noted that the Netherlands supports the efforts to further develop cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
