Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Poland had an exchange of congratulatory letters on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In the letter addressed to his Polish counterpart Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov noted that existing relations between the two countries proceeding from the diplomatic ties rooted in the Middle Ages and established during 1918-20. He mentioned that rapidly developing bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Poland provide a basis for successful cooperation of both countries within the international organizations.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov emphasizing successful development of bilateral political relations between Azerbaijan and Poland pointed out that strengthening of political dialogue, economic and humanitarian cooperation were agreed by the two countries at the presidential meeting held on the sidelines of NATO Summit in Warsaw.
In his letter addressed to Elmar Mammadyarov Foreign Minister of Poland Witold Waszczykowski stressed that as an important actor in the South Caucasus region for the security of Europe, Azerbaijan and Poland have established friendship and partnership relations in various areas. He also expressed his hope that the negotiations on the new agreement on the cooperation between Azerbaijan and European Union will enhance the mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland.
