As a result of an illegal visit to the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Republic of Armenia on March, 2015 Slobodan Samardjia, a citizen of Serbia and journalist was included to the list of “Persona non grata” compiled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
S.Samardjia sent a formal letter with the request of removing his name from the list.
S.Samardjia expressed his regret and apologizes for paying illegal visit without permission and prior notification of the Republic of Azerbaijan and underlined that the visit was organized by an incitement of Armenia.
S.Samardjia also expressed his respect to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The appeal was considered through certain procedures and the decision was made on removing his name from the list.
