Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received Zsuzsanna Jakab, the World Health Organization Regional Director for Europe.
Extending congratulations to Azerbaijan for hosting the First European Games, Zsuzsanna Jakab stressed Azerbaijan's achievements in health care and social spheres in recent years. Zsuzsanna Jakab noting the successful development of Azerbaijan added that Azerbaijan as a donor country makes contributions to the projects realized by the World Health Organization. In this regard, she highlighted the WHO's intention to expand the relations with Azerbaijan.
Emphasizing the close cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Health Organization Minister Elmar Mammadyarov highly appreciated the organization's support to Azerbaijan in a number of disease-fighting projects.
At the meeting the sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
