Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Filippo Lombardi, Chairman of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group on Azerbaijan in Swiss Parliament
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Filippo Lombardi, Chairman of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group on Azerbaijan in Swiss Parliament within his official visit to this country.
Minister noted that the activities of Interparliamentary Friendship Groups play an important role in the development of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.
Recalling his visit to Azerbaijan back in 2013, as well as participation at the opening ceremony of the First European Games held in Baku and meeting with members of Parliament of Azerbaijan in March of this year, Filippo Lombardi said that Interparliamentary Friendship Groups continue to make significant contributions to furthering the ties between our countries.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov informed interlocutor about the current status of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and the ongoing negotiation process.
At the end of the visit a dinner-party was hosted on behalf of Swiss Parliament in honor of Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
