Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov delivered a lecture on the foreign and energy policy of Azerbaijan at the final session of the 10th Baku Annual Summer Energy School organized by ADA University and awarded the participants of the program
In his speech at the 10th Baku Annual Summer Energy School organized by ADA University on 10-22 July 2016, Elmar Mammadyarov briefed the participants about the achievements of Azerbaijan in political, economic, social and other spheres, particularly gained within the last ten years, priorities of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, relations with the international community on bilateral and multilateral frameworks, Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and negotiation process on the settlement of the conflict mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
Speaking about the development of transport and energy strategy of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov emphasized the role of Azerbaijan in the implementation of large-scale projects such as restoration of the historical “Silk Way”, “East-West”, “North-South” transport corridors and Southern Gas energy corridor.
During the lecture Minister Elmar Mammadyarov responded to the multiple questions of the program participants. At the end of the event the participants of the Baku Summer Energy School were awarded with certificates.
The Baku Summer Energy School is an annual certificate program of ADA University held in partnership with the SOCAR. The program brings together specialized scholars and experts on global energy policy and environment issues from different countries. So far 500 participants have graduated from the Baku Summer Energy School which is held annually since 2006. And 46 scholars and specialists from 17 countries participated at the 2016-year-program.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the Baku Summer Energy School organized by ADA University.
