Luis Faraoni, deputy editor-in-chief deputy of Argentina’s “Tiempo Argentino”, paid an illegal visit to the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 18-23 March, 2015 and his name was included into the persona-non-grata list.
Luis Faraoni, making a written appeal to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Argentina, noted that he was unaware of the fact that his visit to the Nagorny-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan occupied by armed forces of Armenia will result in his name being included into the persona-non-grata list.
In his letter, he expressed his regret for the visit to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, which has caused for the this problem and confessing the gravity of his action, reassured that such behavior will not be repeated in the future.
Expressing his respect to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the internationally-recognized borders, Luis Faraoni asked for removal of his name from the relevant list of the Government of Azerbaijan.
Luis Faraoni’s appeal was considered in accordance with the procedures and it was decided to remove his name from persona-non-grata list.
