No:429/24, Press release on the meeting between Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Besart Kadia, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania

On 29 October 2024, Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan had a meeting with Besart Kadia, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to our country.

 

Besart Kadia, Albania's first resident ambassador to Azerbaijan, presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him success in his future endeavor.

 

During the meeting, matters stemming from current bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Albania were discussed.

 

Satisfaction with existing cooperation in various fields, particularly in political, economic, energy security, transportation and communication, investments, humanitarian, tourism, and other directions was expressed, and it was also mentioned that strategic energy and transportation projects implemented at our country's initiative have made an important contribution to the development of relations.

 

In terms of promotion of joint initiatives, as well as importance of preventing actions taken against our countries, importance of mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries within the framework of a number of regional and international organizations, support and solidarity was emphasized.

 

During the meeting, Azerbaijan’s COP29 presidency, as well as the negotiation process were discussed.

 

Other topics of mutual interest were also addressed during the meeting.
