No:368/25, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Baxtiyor Saidov

On 15 September 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Baxtiyor Saidov within the framework of the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit held in the city of Doha, the capital of the Qatar.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the dynamic development of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations at the level of strategic alliance in all areas, and it was emphasized that these relations are based on the friendship and brotherhood relations and close contacts between the heads of state of the two countries.
An exchange of views was held on joint activities and projects carried out to further expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investments, transport, energy, culture and humanitarian sphere.
An exchange of views was held on issues of mutual support and cooperation within international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, the Organization of Turkic States, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart about the preparations for the next Summit of the Organization of Turkic States to be hosted by our country in October of the current year.
Concern was expressed over security issues and regional developments, including the confrontation in the Middle East, and a common understanding was expressed that the growing tension should be resolved through diplomatic means.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
