On 30 April 2024, within the framework of his working visit to the State of Qatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Republic of Lebanon, Abdallah Bouhabib.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues on the agenda of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Lebanon, including opportunities for cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, cultural and other fields. The importance of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs was emphasized.
The importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Lebanon within international organizations, particularly the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, was noted.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart about recent developments in the region, the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process, as well as the agreement that resulted in the liberation of four Azerbaijani villages from occupation.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
