No:176/24, Press release on consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On 19 April 2024, the next round of consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the city of Baku.
The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, while the Kazakh delegation was led by Bauyrzhan Akatayev, Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Officials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as representatives from the Migration Committee of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, also participated in the meeting.
During the consultations, discussions were held on the current state and prospects for the development of consular cooperation with Kazakhstan, an important partner country for Azerbaijan, including the signing of new bilateral documents in this field and opportunities for the digitalization of consular services.
Within the framework of the consultations, the sides also emphasized the importance of undertaking joint measures to strengthen cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in migration, education, and other important areas.
At the conclusion of the talks, the delegations of the two countries signed the protocol of the meeting.
