No:143/24, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan

On 2 April 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vladyslav Kanevskyi, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the current level of strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, and the importance of expanding cooperation was emphasized.
It was particularly noted that relations between the two countries and peoples are based on historical foundations and have consistently developed on the basis of respect for the norms and principles of international law, including territorial integrity and sovereignty.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian side emphasized the importance of the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine for their country and expressed their gratitude in this regard.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest of a bilateral and regional nature.
Ambassador Kanevskyi was thanked for his contribution to the development of relations between the two countries and was wished success in his future endeavors.
