On 10 February 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to our country Dmitry Pinevich.

 

Dmitry Pinevich, newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Azerbaijan, presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.

 

During the meeting, issues on the agenda of existing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus were discussed.

 

The sides discussed the prospects for the development of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Belarus, as well as various aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

 

The important role of high-level contacts, mutual visits and dialogues conducted on international platforms in strengthening interstate relations was noted.

 

In this regard, it was emphasized that the visit of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Azerbaijan on 17 May last year, including his visit to the liberated territories within the framework of the state visit, is a clear indicator of the strategic partnership between our countries.

 

It was noted with satisfaction that the existing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus in various fields, including political, economic, trade, scientific, educational, cultural, tourism and other areas is developing, and that the steps taken to expand economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus, in particular, make an important contribution to the development of bilateral relations.

 

The importance of the role of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus in the direction of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and investment was emphasized.

 

It was noted that our countries closely cooperate within regional and international organizations, including the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Non-Aligned Movement, and that it is important to continue mutual support within these organizations.

 

Ambassador Dmitry Pinevich expressed his satisfaction with the start of his diplomatic mission in our country and conveyed his gratitude for the warm reception. He noted that he will make efforts to further develop cooperation between the two countries.

 

During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
