Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Sebastian Kurz, Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Sebastian Kurz, Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria on the sidelines of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly.
At the meeting the sides noted intensive political dialogue and ample opportunities for further enhancement of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Austria.
Sebastian Kurz mentioned that his country welcomes the favorable business environment provided by the Government of Azerbaijan and Austrian companies are considering investment projects in Azerbaijan. He also noted that Austrian Airlines has intention for the resumption of flights to Baku.
Elmar Mammadyarov said that Azerbaijan remains interested in the development of bilateral economic agenda. He expressed his conviction that development of economic ties in itself will contribute to enhancement of overall bilateral relations.
Sebastian Kurz stated that Austria will spare no efforts to contribute to the settlement of ongoing conflicts as incoming OSCE Chair country. He also expressed his intention to visit Azerbaijan in the capacity of OSCE Chairperson-in-office to discuss the issues of bilateral and multilateral agenda.
