No:542/22, Press release on the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský
On December 1, 2022, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský on the sidelines of the 29th OSCE Ministerial Council meeting held in Lodz, Poland.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the dynamic development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, and it was noted that the current relations are in the nature of a strategic partnership.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that there is great potential for further expansion of cooperation between our country and the Czech Republic.
The Ministers noted the importance of continuing political consultations between the two countries and exchanged views on the prospects of developing cooperation in a number of areas, including energy security, trade and economic sphere.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart about the post-conflict situation in the region, the steps taken by Azerbaijan in the direction of peace building in the region, the rehabilitation and reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories, as well as the ongoing landmine threats.
At the meeting, the sides also discussed regional and international security issues.
