No:533/22, Press release on the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov with the Managing Director of the European Union External Action Service for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, regional cooperation and OSCE Michael Siebert
On November 28, 2022, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov and the Managing Director of the European Union (EU) External Action Service for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, regional cooperation and OSCE, Michael Siebert.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on various aspects of Azerbaijan-EU cooperation, normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, prospects of cooperation on agreements reached with the EU in the field of energy security, communications and transportation, as well as ongoing processes in the region.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed his counterpart in details about Azerbaijan's efforts on the peace agenda, Armenia's attempts to obstruct the peace process, as well as the gross violation of obligations undertaken within the framework of the Trilateral Statements, the still incomplete withdrawal of Armenian armed formations from our territories, abuse of the Lachin road for military purposes, and ongoing threats related to the existence of landmines.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
