No:506/22, Press release on the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Azerbaijan Alexander Esaulenko

On January 5, 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alexander Esaulenko.

 

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the copy of the credentials of Ambassador Alexander Esaulenko, conveyed his congratulations to Ambassador on his appointment, and wished him success in his future activities.

 

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the current bilateral and multilateral agenda between Azerbaijan and Moldova, as well as the regional situation.

 

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the existence of an effective cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Moldova at the bilateral level. It was emphasized that the existing mutual sympathy between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Moldova had a positive effect on the development of relations between the two countries. Minister pointed out that Azerbaijan attaches importance to cooperation with Moldova within the framework of regional and international organizations, especially within UN, OSCE, Council of Europe, OSCE, GUAM, and European Union's Eastern Partnership.

 

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his interlocutor on new realities that emerged in the region in the post-conflict period, large-scale restoration and construction work carried out in the liberated areas, Azerbaijan's activities in the direction of advancement of the peace agenda.

 

Ambassador Alexander Esaulenko thanked Minister Jeyhun Bayramov for the reception and also conveyed his congratulations on 8 November - Victory Day. Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with his appointment to Azerbaijan, having a rich history, traditions, and hospitable society. Alexander Esaulenko emphasized the importance of the development of relations between the two countries in various fields, including economic, cultural, and energy, and expressed that he will work for the further development of relations in this regard.

 

Other issues of mutual interest were discussed in the course of the meeting.
