No:432/22, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the President and CEO of the International Crisis Group Comfort Ero
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Comfort Ero, President and CEO of the International Crisis Group on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his interlocutor on the steps taken by Azerbaijan for ensuring peace and stability in the region after the 44-day Patriotic War, restoration and reconstruction work. Exchange of views on the proposal of Azerbaijan for signing a peace treaty with Armenia also took place. It was emphasized that Armenia's main goal in recent provocation in the region was to slow down the normalization process. The importance of continuing the negotiations to advance the process was also noted.
The issues related to the reports compiled by the International Crisis Group regarding Azerbaijan were brought up within the discussions, and ICG's questions on a number of issues were answered.
Exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest as well.
