On 29 October 2025, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, within the framework of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, met with the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation of Oman, Special Representative of the Sultan of Oman Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said.
During the meeting, the sides expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Oman both at bilateral and multilateral levels.
The decisive role of high-level visits in elevating our bilateral relations to a new level and in further stimulating political and economic cooperation between our countries was emphasized.
Confidence was expressed that the commencement of the activities of our country’s Embassy in Oman will further boost cooperation.
Noting that parliamentary diplomacy plays a decisive role in strengthening bilateral relations, the Minister stated that Azerbaijan highly appreciates the establishment of friendship groups by the parliaments of our countries in 2025.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, touching upon Azerbaijan’s hosting of the next Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku in 2026, stated that these events will create new opportunities for cooperation in terms of promoting the principles of dialogue, solidarity and sustainable development.
During the meeting, other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest, as well as the regional situation, were also discussed.
