On September 9, 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has received the special representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, Igor Khovaev.
The parties exchanged views on issues of bilateral agenda between Azerbaijan and Russia, the current situation in the region, including various aspects of normalization process of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the steps taken in this context, confidence-building measures, as well as future prospects.
The sides emphasized the importance of the full implementation of the provisions of the trilateral statements signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, as well as the agreements reached within the framework of normalization process in order to ensure peace and security in the region.
Other regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
