No:375/25, Joint information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education on the selection of candidates for the 2025–2026 academic year within the framework of the “Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant” program

In accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 8 July 2023, the selection process of candidates for the 2025–2026 academic year within the framework of the “Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant” program jointly implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education has been completed. From among hundreds of candidates from 64 countries who applied to the program, 100 persons from 51 countries have been awarded an education grant.

 

The selected candidates will mainly study at various levels of education in 9 higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, namely ADA University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Baku State University, Baku Higher Oil School, Baku Engineering University, Nakhchivan State University, National Aviation Academy and Khazar University.

 

It should be noted that under this program, it is envisaged that citizens of countries that are members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, countries included in the group of Small Island Developing States, and countries where peoples and national minorities with ethnic, historical and cultural ties with our people live, will study at various levels of education in higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan for a period of 5 years.

 

According to the terms of the mentioned program, it is envisaged to allocate education grants on an annual basis for 100 persons, and in total for 500 foreign citizens.
