No:367/25, Press release on the participation and speech of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit

On 15 September 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov participated and delivered a speech at the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit held in the city of Doha, the capital of the Qatar.
In the speech, it was stated that the recent air attack against Qatar causes deep concern, and support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar was expressed. A call was made to prevent further escalation of tensions while adhering to the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The mediation efforts of Qatar regarding the resolution of the current situation in the Gaza region were highly appreciated, and the necessity of resuming negotiations between the sides and achieving a permanent ceasefire was emphasized.
In general, in the context of the Palestine issue, it was once again brought to attention that our country supports a solution based on the “two-state” principle in accordance with the norms and principles of international law and the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
In addition to peace initiatives aimed at resolving the crisis in the region, the importance of humanitarian assistance efforts was noted.
In this context, it was stated that, as a continuation of our country’s support to the brotherly Palestinian people over the previous years, since the beginning of the escalation in 2023, humanitarian assistance in the amount of 2 million US dollars has been allocated. In addition, it was noted in the speech that our country has implemented support projects in the fields of education and healthcare in Palestine.
