On 9 September 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to our country Marijana Kujundžić.
The Head of the Delegation Marijana Kujundžić presented her letter of appointment to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Marijana Kujundžić on her appointment and wished her success in her activities in our country.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in various fields, including political, economic, energy, transport and communications, humanitarian and other areas.
The importance of joint energy projects implemented between our country and the EU was emphasized. Interest was expressed in developing cooperation in other important areas.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed the counterpart side in detail about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period.
The importance of the agreements reached within the framework of the Washington meeting in advancing the peace agenda initiated by our country, the initialling of the peace agreement, and the decision on the elimination of the OSCE Minsk Process and related structures as remnants of the former conflict was noted.
The Head of the Delegation Marijana Kujundžić expressed her gratitude for the reception and noted that she will spare no effort to advance the Azerbaijan-EU agenda during her tenure.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
