No:349/25, Press release on the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Ambassador of France to the Republic of Azerbaijan Anne Boillon

On 27 August 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Ambassador of France to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Anne Boillon, on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan–France relations, as well as regional and international issues, were the main topics of discussion.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that Ambassador Anne Boillon served as the Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan during a historic and significant period for our country. Ambassador Anne Boillon, who is completing her diplomatic mission in our country, was wished success in her future activities.
Despite the existing difficulties and challenges in Azerbaijan–France relations, the importance of keeping the channels of dialogue open was emphasized.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed the other side about the steps taken to advance the regional peace agenda, including the outcomes and details of the historic Washington meeting.
It was brought to attention that our country has always been a supporter of peace and that the Washington meeting once again demonstrated this.
The importance of the initialing of the text of the “Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia” within the framework of the Washington meeting, as well as the submission of a joint application regarding the closure of the OSCE Minsk Process and its related structures, which are remnants of the former conflict, was noted.
Ambassador Anne Boillon expressed her gratitude for the support and cooperation provided during her diplomatic mission in our country.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
