No:341/25, Press release on the telephone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha

On 16 August 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine conveyed his congratulations on the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and the United States during the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States, as well as on the achievements in the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process.
During the telephone conversation, current issues of the Azerbaijan–Ukraine partnership relations were discussed, including cooperation in political, economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian fields. The sides noted that the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine is of great importance for the development of cooperation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for the humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine, including support in reconstruction and restoration efforts in the areas affected by the conflict.
Minister Andrii Sybiha also provided information on the ongoing negotiation process related to the Russia–Ukraine conflict.
During the telephone conversation, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
